Former Intern Finds Misery, Hope in Africa

I have seen families starving. I have seen children orphaned by parents who died of AIDS and left them behind to fend for themselves. I have seen kids sing and dance and play with their stomachs growling. I have seen rhinos romp and antelopes run and ostriches bury their heads in the ground.
All of this I saw in Kenya.

The OVN Remembers Bud Furillo

We were fortunate to have Bud Furillo write a twice-weekly column for us. Bud died on July 18, 2006 at The Gables of Ojai. Actor Peter Bellwood conducted what is the last known videotaped interview of "The Steamer."
